Shipwreck Hunters Australia

Shipwreck Hunters Australia
“The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.” – Jacques Yves Cousteau
Storyboard
Shipwreck Hunters Australia brings to life incredible shipwreck discoveries from an intrepid ocean adventure team and is the first Australian-made documentary series for Disney Plus Australia.
The six-part series will take a deep dive into one of the planet’s most spectacular ocean environments, showcasing thrilling discoveries and looking to solve some iconic shipwreck mysteries.
The Western Australian coastline is one of the most spectacular ocean environments in the world and has an estimated 1,600 shipwrecks. The series will mix new technologies, archival research and location filming to examine the mysterious past lived by ocean adventurers.
Challenge
The series took place along some of the most remote locations along the Western Australian coastline, where the team faced challenging weather conditions, rough open seas, and deep shark infested waters.
Osprey directors, Ryan and Rodrigo played pivotal roles in this ground-breaking series: Ryan providing underwater imagery and on screen talent and Rodrigo cast as B-CAM operator and Chief Remote Drone Pilot for the aerial vision for the production.
