Project Description
Anthropocene
The Rise of Humans
Episodes
Earth, Air and Water

A new era has begun
With 7 billion human beings alive today, we have become a force of nature in our own right, able to change the planet and life on it, even determine the nature of our influence.
Storyboard
This ground-breaking three-part series puts the spotlight on the human impact and the thirst for innovation and technology that turned us into the most influential life form on Earth. It’s why this period in our planet’s history is also known as the Anthropocene — the age when human activities have started to change the planet’s own systems.

Challenge
German Broadcaster ZDF TV engaged Osprey Creative to join them on a 3-week leg of their global documentary production about Climate Change. Travelling over 4,000 kms and visiting 6 locations along the Western Australian coastline, we were responsible for providing ultra-high-definition aerial and underwater content. Shooting in 6k RAW with the DJI Inspire 2 allowed ZDF the highest quality available for their post-production.

Results
The series performed exceptionally well in festival competitions all around the world.
400
More than 400 minutes of high-quality aerial and underwater footage produced.

“The series was extremely successful in three different versions. We’ve produced all together more than 400 minutes from the footage and currently with different versions in festival competitions all around the world. As far as I am concerned we will NEVER shoot in Western Australia without the Osprey Creative team.”
